Peel Arts Collective presents.. “After the Freeze” on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Spot 1 Music Hall & Grill in Brampton, ON between 2PM – 7PM. Stop by for a family friendly afternoon of art, music, good food and much more. “After the Freeze” will be hosting an Artist’s Market featuring artists from all over the Greater Toronto Area – pick up that perfect handmade item or add a new art piece to your collection.
Throughout the afternoon, “After the Freeze” will feature live musical acts and spoken word talent.
If you are an artist or crafts-person who would like to rent a table to sell at our show, please fill out the form below. Table rental fees are $10.00. Artists may split a table with another artist if they’d like to participate but don’t have enough material to fit a full table. Table fees must be paid in person or by e-transfer before May 10th, 2018 in order for your table to be reserved. If sharing, both artists must fill out separate forms.
If you would like to be a live painter at this event, there are limited spots available. Peel Arts Collective reserves the right to deny the application for any live painter for any reason.
If you are a musician or spoken word artist who would like to perform during “After the Freeze”, please see the application below. There is no cost to be a performer, nor will performers receive compensation – however they may put out a busking “tip jar” for the duration of their performance. Musicians will be required to supply their own equipment. Performers will also share a merchandise table where they can offer a limited number of items such as CDs, books or t-shirts.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
This is an all ages family-friendly event. All materials being sold must be “family friendly” (no excessive nudity, no offensive language, limited gore/violence).
Spot 1 Grill & Music Hall is a large venue located near Steeles/Kennedy Rd in Brampton, ON. There is absolutely no outside food or drink allowed inside the venue, nor are large backpacks or bags which do not hold your sellable goods/equipment.
We encourage all artists or crafts-person to draw, sketch or otherwise practice their craft live at their table if the type of work you create is capable of being done in a respectable, clean and organized manner. We reserve the right to ask any artist to stop the creation process if it becomes distracting, messy or otherwise looks to be damaging to property.
All artists will be responsible for manning their table for the duration of the entire event. The organizers nor Peel Arts Collective will be held responsible for any damages that may occur to your pieces during this event. If you suspect a patron of having damaged or stolen your goods, please report it to an organizer immediately so that the patron in question can be dealt with. Absolutely no damage will be caused by any artist renting the table and all tables and chairs should be returned in the same condition they were given.
All musicians will be responsible for their own instruments and partial equipment. Please contact Peel Arts Collective if you require additional equipment you do not have in order to perform. A sound engineer will be provided for the afternoon.
Both spoken word and musical acts are responsible for creating a family friend performance which does not have offensive language, explicit sexual content or excessive violence or gore.
